Fasting on Day of Eid e Ghadeer / ঈদে গদীরের দিনের রোযা

*Fasting a single fast on the day of Eid e Ghadeer has the same benefit as the fasting for 60 months*

It was narrated by Abu Huraira that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) has said that, the person who fasts on the date of 18th Zilhaj, under his name shall be written the benefit of fasting for 60 months, and that is the day when the event of Ghadeer Khum happened, and the Holy Prophet (pbuh) held the hand of Ali (AS) and thereafter questioned the congregation present, ‘Am I not the guide of all the ‘Momins’ (faithful)?’ All replied, ‘Yes, indeed, oh Holy Prophet (pbuh).’ Then the Holy Prophet (pbuh) said, ‘To whomsoever that I am the Master, Ali is his Master’. Then His Holiness Omar ibne Khattab said, ‘Oh, the son of Abu Taleb, congratulations and greetings to you for this blessing and status: you have become the Master of myself and every ‘Momin’ and ‘Momina’. Thereafter, Allah revealed the Ayat “Al yaoma akmaltu lakum deenukum …..’ (Today I have completed your religion for you and I have fulfilled my blessings upon you).

*ঈদে গদীরের দিনের একটি রোযা রাখা ৬০ মাস রোযা রাখার সমান সওয়াব*

হযরত আবু হোরায়রা হতে ব বর্ণিত আছে যে,নবী করীম (সঃ) বলেন যে ব্যক্তি ১৮ ই যিলহাজ তারিখ রোযা রাখবে তার জন্য ৬০ মাস রোযা রাখার সওয়াব লেখা হবে এবং ঐ দিনটিতেই গদীরে খুমের ঘটনা ঘটে এবং রসুলুল্লাহ (সঃ) হাযরত আলী (আঃ) এঁর হাত ধরেন অতঃপর উপস্থিত জনতার কাছে প্রশ্ন করেন, “আমি কি সমস্ত মু’মিনের ওয়ালী নই?” সবাই জবাব দিল হ্যাঁ অবশ্যই ইয়া রসুলুল্লাহ (সঃ)।  তখন রসুলে পাক(সঃ) বললেন, “আমি যার মওলা আলী তার মওলা। ” তখন হযরত উমর ইবনে খাত্তাব বললেন “ওহে আবু তালিবের শাহযাদা এ হেন ফযীলত ও পদমর্যাদার জন্য আপনাকে মোবারক বাদ ও শুভেচ্ছা, আপনি আমার এবং প্রত্যেক মু’মিন ও মু’মিনার মওলা হয়ে গেলেন। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তায়ালা ‘আল ইয়াওমা আকমালতু লাকুম দীনাকুম… ‘ (আজ তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের ধর্মকে পরিপূর্ণ করে দিলাম এবং তোমাদের উপর আমার নিয়ামত সম্পূর্ণ করে দিলাম) আয়াতটি নাযিল করেন।
